One of the biggest problems in almost any home is knowing how to go about cleaning grease. There are many products out there that are meant to clean up most types of grease. Many kitchens accumulate grease on the walls, just from normal day to day activities. However, there are ways to get rid of it. Taking time twice a week to make sure you remove grease may be a best practice to prevent build up over time.

When cleaning grease from your countertops, as long as you get it early, almost any spray degreaser product from the store will work. Be sure to get it as quickly as you can to prevent further accumulation.

When cleaning grease that has been allowed to build up, or has been there a while, products like Comet work best at removing grease from almost any surface. However, caution must be taken when working with painted surfaces, and you should always consider the type of surface before you use abrasive products like Comet. For effective removal of grease, mist the area with water, and then sprinkle Comet on the surface. Let is sit for a few minutes, and then use a sponge to get the grease up.

When it comes to cleaning grease from clothing, there are a few solutions that seem to work well.  Using Simple Green as a pre-wash treatment works well for this.  This product can be used on other items, as it was originally meant to be a home cleaning product.
